Artvisory Records the Most Successful Auction of 18th century English Ceramics ever sold in Australia
The Robert Burke collection of Important English 18th century ceramics was the finest collection of it's kind ever formed in this country. Artvisory was selected to handle this fine collection and then set about cataloguing the 320 lot collection, to ensure every example was fully researched and then marketed to an International audience. The much-praised printed catalogue will now become a collector's reference in it's own right. Securing editorial in International newspapers and as well as in this country the marketing campaign was highly successful, as were the results, which delivered 95% sold by lot under the hammer and ended up 100% sold by lot with after-sales and achieved total sales of well over AUD$1 million which was well over the total pre-auction estimated value and it set an auction record for a single-owner auction of English 18th century ceramics held in Australia.
