Artvisory's May 2022 Chinese and Asian Arts auction was a great success

A strength in the market was evident for the very high quality offering at Artvisory this month with total sales reaching almost AUD$1 Million and almost exactly the same total as last November's auction. Song and Ming ceramics, in which this auction was strong, performed well and the ceramics were led by the outstanding result for lot 42 ( Illustrated) that sold for AUD$44,640.00 against an estimate of AUD$15,000 plus. This was a very beautiful example of Ding/Dangyangyu ware with a very fine and silky persimmon glaze and it met with fierce bidding from multiple collectors here and from mainland China, before ultimately selling to an Australian buyer.
