Australian institutions acquire multiple works at Artvisory's March 2026 Australian art auction

Artvisory’s multi-vendor Australian art auction in Melbourne on March 24 this year posted some very good results from the curated auction of 63 works.

Several works sold for private vendors went to Australian institutions, including Ellis Rowan's beautiful study of Eucalyptus Ficifolia, Sydney Long's view of the Spit Sydney and a naive school landscape in oils of Broken Hill, all of which entered Australian public collections.

The highest price went, as expected, to Hans Heysen's moody oil painting of his home at Hahndorf South Australia "Morning Mist" that fetched $151,200.00 inc bp and this was followed by Tim Storrier's expertly executed oil painting 'Night blaze' which was of usually small scale for this subject matter by the artist. It fetched $88,200. inc bp

With after-sales the auction was a healthy 74% sold by lot and posted close to $700,000.00 in sales
