Henry de Freycinet - The 1802 Heritage Trunk Collection

Henry is a descendant of the intrepid seafaring brothers Louis and Henri de Freycinet who contributed to the charting of the continent of Australia on their voyage with Nicholas Baudin in 1802. The first complete map of Australia, the Freycinet map, was published in Paris in 1811. Louis’ wife Rose was the first woman to write an account of her circumnavigation of the globe, as she stole aboard Louis’ second voyage in 1817. Her diary resides in the Mitchell Library in Sydney.

This limited edition series comprises just 100 individually numbered pieces worldwide and twenty complete three trunk collections, reinforcing the rarity and collectibility of the offering.  Available in naval blue or heritage green each trunk is handcrafted in France from the finest Italian leather and built around a naval-grade plywood frame lined with bespoke printed fabric and finished with elegant and traditional brass mechanisms. Henry’s work truly honours savoir faire à la française through meticulous detail and craftsmanship.
